One of my fav ever pieces.

No Who collection is ever complete without having had one in it, or waiting for one to be put in it.

Annoyingly difficult to locate in truly superb condition though.

I guess they were very well loved, I was forever shining mine on my bedroom wall past bedtime.

And that was while I was well into my twenties...!

It's amazing when you think of what we as kids had to play with the simplicity of the games etc which we enjoyed and the technology that is available today for the youngsters.

Yea I often think that when I look at the character options figures and look at them in comparison to the the figures and toys that we were presented with at past Christmas.

Tom Baker that looks like Gareth Hunt, ludicrously incorrect Daleks, a barely even human looking Leela. But I played the hell out of those toys. Ah the joys of setting fire to a Denys Fisher Tardis as it experiences time hole battle damage.

Things are just so much better toy wise nowadays, figures that look like the people, card sets with holograms etc, even the fanzines are almost professional in every way.

That's said I'd still rather have a give a show projector at 11 o o'clock at night in the dark of my room than pretty much anything.

Real life Leela notwithstanding
