I certainly do!

Look out for a big change in the coming months. We are currently working very hard on the site for a brand new look, along with every page re-written (to a greater or lesser degree) and lots of new stuff and making a few corrections.... thanks to the Restoration Team!

I was interested to read about the fate of the Remembrance Imperial Daleks, having made the acquaintance of someone who owned one in the 90's. From the information on the site, it must be the Dalek sold at auction in August 1991. I lost contact with the owner when he went to study at Oxford, probably about eight or nine years ago. Although he moved away, the Dalek stayed at his parents house, in the same village where my own parents live.

The Dalek was a little battered but not too bad last time I saw it, mainly cosmetic damage. Nothing a bit of paint couldn't fix. As I'm sure many of you understand, the owner wanted to keep it as near to it's original state as possible.

It was missing the distinctive ear lights, which had been replaced by what looked like orange ping pong ball halves! Also missing was the golden foil like material around the neck section. The neck looked to be constructed as one solid piece, with only a section cut out at the front so the operator could see. This would have then been covered by the foil like material. One last thing of note is that the Dalek was numbered '3' on the inside rear of the neck section.

I wonder if it's still there? Maybe I should pluck up the courage to go knock on the door and see

I've got to congratulate all people involved with this site. This is an awesome collection of years of research and experience. I'm upto the Daleks Masterplan page and am finding it thoroughly absorbing. Totally brilliant, I can't rate it highly enough.

Well done

Fantastic site, Jon. Glad you were able to use the info on the Revelation locations - no I don't know where "Poole" came from either?
Somewhere around I have a copy of the location camera script which includes details of the shots that were scrapped due to the bad weather... will try and look it out at some point. Likewise, somewhere around are some photos of the Dalek dummy props in the back of the BBC van which shows the cases loaded with the FX charges...

Thanks for the comments guys! Yeah its strange one. I'm sure Poole came out of the Harper classics book, although I had so many sources I was making notes from I could be wrong.

If you have those photos I'd love to see them. :)
