Just seen that they are finally making Dalek number 4 of 5 out of the new versions in the radio controlled format, this time it's the white supreme that's being made..., so far they have only got it available on very.co.uk which is fine I thought, at least it's somewhere but they want £60.00 for it!!! A bit steep I'm thinking, especially when I only paid £29.99 for each of the other 3 versions made so far..., not really wanting to pay double BUT I will if I have to as it's one of those must have things for me SO, does anyone know if this will be sold else where or will it be their exclusive just like the blue one was for B&M & the yellow one was for Toys R Us???

What it is to be a completist :-)!

One was enough for me.

If Zygons were green, they'd be gherkins.

Very difficult to be a completist these days anyway, as the manufacturers keep moving the goalposts. It was much easier in the 1980s, and certainly before the series came back...

Thankfully I have all of the 12", 13" & 18" Dalek's that have been made to date both by Character Options & Product Enterprise so it's easier for me as I'm just buying anything new that gets released really, got the British Icon Dalek the other day & although it isn't remote controlled it falls into the must have category..., that only cost me £35.00 though.

I'm guessing you must be a bit annoyed that Al Dewar has tweeted they won't be doing the final one (the scientist is it?) in the scale :-(

Well I'm hopeful that they'll change their minds, I remember when they originally made the red Dalek they said they'd not be making any of the others but the yellow one turned up a few months later..., it's taken 2 years to get the blue & white Dalek's made & they were saying no all the time right upto B&M getting them in stock so I'm not convinced that we'll never see the orange Dalek, time will tell of course though..., in answer to your question however, yes I was a bit miffed with that statement as I hate it when companies don't make all of the versions of something..., especially when it's just one that they've not made. It's a bit like the green army Dalek though, they refused to make that too & I'm curious to know why as I'm certain that'd be very popular, I wanted 2 myself.

Perhaps the big r/c models just don't sell well enough.

Well from what the staff at B&M told me, the 13" blue Dalek sold out within days of being in stock for many weeks after they first put it on their shelves, it was the same for the small scale set number 2 Dalek's & the Age of Steel Cybermen pack..., they had to reorder more stock above what they'd asked for on more than one occasion so I was feeling very hopeful we'd see the other 2 Dalek's made in the 13" scale & I was also hoping we'd see the little Dalek's collectors set number 1 being stocked along with the other Age of Steel set..., unfortunately none of that happened BUT finally the white Dalek has turned up in the bigger scale so that leaves hope for more, seems a real shame to only make 4 out of 5 to me, well there's potentially 6 if you include the stone version too..., I'll just keep my eyes open I guess as I'm hopeful the orange Dalek will show up eventually.

I think the price tag restricts the market, and then add to this the poor distribution in the shops. Been a problem since 2005 really.

I know what you mean, knowing just who is going to be selling these now isn't a given anymore, you used to be able to rely on Woolworths or Toys R Us to stock them but now Woolies is gone & Toys R Us don't seem to stock much we're left asking people on the Internet where we can find things, hardly great advertising.

Depends if you are going for investment value or the stamp collecting approach.

I will be surprised if much of the post-2005 items prove to be an investment. There's too many of them, and too many collectors.

The odd bad sellers/bad ideas may have rarity value, but the "limited editions" are just far too numerous.

If Zygons were green, they'd be gherkins.

I don't collect to make money or for future investment, there's no real point in doing things like that in my opinion, I collect because I like something..., in this case Dalek's.

I was in my local B&M yesterday and they had a sizable stock of White 13"ers at £29.99 a time.

Your a star, thanks for the information..., that's great to know, I'll be popping down to my nearest store tomorrow in the hopes they'll have them there, bit of a trek as there's not one near by but worth the journey I think.

Well no B&M near me have been stocking this Dalek but had a bit of good news, Very sent me a £20.00 off discount card & when I went to order the Dalek it's been reduced to £48.00..., getting it sent to a click & collect store so delivery is free which basically means I've got the Dalek for £28.00 & it's coming on my birthday too (20th), result.

Thanks very much, good to see this one too. This one I've managed to secure properly..., just the TRU one I'm waiting to hear back on so I can get it. Hoping the orange Dalek & the Ironside get made too now, it's looking hopeful anyway.

That's rediculous, mind you someone on eBay is trying to sell one of the new TRU Asylum Dalek's for £145.00 + £15.00 for delivery. :(

So is this Dalek really hard to find, or is it an urban myth perpetuated by unscrupulous EBay profiteers??

Well very.co.uk have them readily available & there are discount codes on google so you get it cheaper than the current £48.00 asking price.

I think that about £40 seems to be the standard asking price at the moment.
