Although he is probably best remembered for his roles in both Coronation Street and Keeping Up Appearances, Geoffrey Hughes did appear as Mr. Popplewick in Doctor Who's, The Trial of a Time Lord. For me, it was the first role I ever saw him in and would later spot him playing other characters in a whole range of my favourite shows. He was such a funny, wonderful and brilliant actor. I will miss him a lot.

A unique character talent. I will remember him most as Eddie in Coronation St as that was my era. So pleased he did a Dr Who too.

I'd forgotten he was in Doctor Who until I read this thread..., remember the episode though & it came back to me instantly. Liked him in Keeping Up Appearances..., very well acted part.
