Federation Guard Helmet from "Snakedance"

This screen used prop was use in episodes three and four of the Doctor Who Story "Snakedance" staring Peter Davison as the Doctor, Sarah Sutton as Nyssa and Janet Fielding as Tegan. This 20th season four part serial (6D) was first transmitted on 1/18/83.

The Evil Mara is returning
Snakedance

The Doctor and Sarah must prevent the Mara taking over Tegan's mind but the local Manussa Federation misunderstand and impede their efforts. Unless the Doctor is successful the civilization of the planet is in danger.

The Provenance

The helmet was purchased by Dave Willcox of Bristol in 1996 from a private collector. Dave sold it to Tim Johnson of Kent in 1999. I purchased the helmet from Tim September 2002 and it now resides in my Dale City Virginia collection.

The Display

The permanent display is not yet been determined. The Helmet is currently sitting on a shelf with some of the merchandise and models.
